Here is an example of the repair process of panel damage to a car.....
Step 5: Before moving to the next phase, the undercoat is baked using infrared heaters to dry it thoroughly.
Step 6: To achieve the smoothest finish possible, the undercoat is sanded using very fine sandpaper. This is the final preparation before the panel receives its colour coat.
Step7: The panel is then pre-cleaned, and the rest of the car is masked to protect the original paintwork.
Step 8: Prior to painting in the spray booth, which provides a controlled painting environment, the panel is cleaned down once more.
