Air Conditioning Services of
The Motor Body Workshop
Many of us are familiar with using air conditioning in
our car on both hot & cold days, but not all of us are
aware that like other parts of our cars, the air conditioning
system also needs regular attention to make sure it
is working efficiently. This
is why car manufacturers
recommend your air conditioning system is recharged
with gas and lubricant every 2 years to keep it working
at optimum efficiency.
It is common for people to turn off their air conditioning
system throughout the winter months. In doing so any
condensation left in the pipe work, together with the heat
generated by the engine, provides an ideal environment
for bacteria & mould spores to develop. This may be
noticeable by an unpleasant odour in the vehicle.
THIS SERVICE IS NOT PART OF ROUTINE VEHICLE
SERVICING, SO IF YOUR VEHICLE IS MORE THAN
2 YEARS OLD
IT IS PROBABLY DUE A RECHARGE.
The Motor Body Workshop offers a complete air-conditioning
recharge service. The process can also include
a system de-bug to clear bacterial build up from within
the system, which will remove any unpleasant odours.
Air Conditioning systems not fully recharged will be less
effective and have to work harder putting more strain on
the engine and using more fuel.
Air Conditioning systems, whilst used most during the
hotter summer months are also useful in winter as they
create dry warm air rather than the humid air from outside
therefore demisting your windscreen more quickly.
